A hotelier based in Osun State, Falola Oke, has been shot dead by yet-to-be-identified assailants near his house in Ilesa.
The deceased was said to be the proprietor of Falola Hotel and Rental Services.
He was gunned down around 9:30 pm on Wednesday.
A source in Fadahunsi/Imo area Ilesha, who preferred anonymity, told The PUNCH, on Thursday, that the late Oke was shot at a close range.
The source said the perpetrators immediately fled the scene, throwing the neighbourhood into a panic.
The Public Relations Officer of Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the death of the deceased.
She pleaded for more time to give details on the matter.
A close associate of the deceased identified as Isaac Hastrup in a Facebook post described the deceased as “a dogged fighter and a good ambassador of C&S church Idasa Youth Forum.”
