A young boy, Umar Usman Dagon from Yobe State, who represented Nigeria at the World Chemistry competition, secured the second position to beat candidates from many countries. He won the sum of 400,000 dollars.
Umar came from Gashua town of Yobe State. He took part in the imagine chemistry competition and made it to the top five that came out in the final round.
Umar studied NCE chemistry education at Umar Suleiman College of Education in Gashua town of Yobe State.
